Wesley’s winning team was built around multiple forms of control rather than a single linear mode. Pelipper brought Drizzle, Tailwind, Focus Sash, Weather Ball, Hurricane, and Protect, while Swampert held Swampertite with Wave Crash, Earthquake, Ice Punch, and Protect. That gave the team a clear weather-supported offensive lane.

The rest of the composition gave Wesley room to slow the game down. Gengar with Gengarite, Cursed Body, Shadow Ball, Disable, Perish Song, and Protect added a Perish Song endgame threat and disruptive pressure. Incineroar filled the familiar Intimidate and Fake Out role, using Sitrus Berry with Throat Chop, Parting Shot, and Protect to cycle positioning. Sinistcha was another stabilizer, carrying Colbur Berry, Hospitality, Matcha Gotcha, Protect, Life Dew, and Rage Powder. Archaludon rounded out the team with Leftovers, Stamina, Electro Shot, Flash Cannon, Dragon Pulse, and Protect, giving the six a durable special attacker alongside the rain and support pieces.

Across the top standings, several patterns stood out. Focus Sash appeared on Pelipper for Wesley, Aerodactyl for Nico, and Excadrill for both Miguel and Gab. Sitrus Berry was also common, appearing on Incineroar, Farigiraf, and Milotic among the top four. Sinistcha made two top-three teams, both with Colbur Berry and Hospitality, though Wesley’s version used Life Dew while Miguel’s included Trick Room.

Sand also had a strong showing. Miguel and Gab both used Tyranitar with Tyranitarite and Sand Stream next to Excadrill with Focus Sash and Sand Rush, with both Excadrill sets carrying Iron Head, High Horsepower, Rock Slide, and Protect. Farigiraf appeared on the second- and fourth-place teams with Sitrus Berry and Trick Room, while Incineroar appeared in first and fourth with Intimidate and Parting Shot. Milotic also appeared in both third and fourth, each using Competitive but with different items and move choices.
