˗ˋˏ❤︎ˎˊ˗ Pomelo Late Night Tour recap and results

The ˗ˋˏ❤︎ˎˊ˗ Pomelo Late Night Tour was a 24-player online event on Limitless, played in Pokemon Champions Regulation Set M-C on 2026-10-24. Altkyle finished undefeated at 8-0-0, closing the event with a final round win over luisin. The other listed final round results were HesterJack over viejomoss and viejomoss over goyardghazi.

Place Player Record Team
1 Altkyle [GB] 8-0-0 Dragonite, Annihilape, Raichu, Gholdengo, Hisuian Arcanine, Rillaboom
2 HesterJack [US] 6-2-0 Sneasler, Eternal Flower Floette, Incineroar, Rillaboom, Garchomp, Volcarona
3 Viejomoss [US] 5-2-0 Salamence, Sneasler, Indeedee, Tyranitar, Excadrill, Milotic
4 luisin [MX] 4-3-0 Espathra, Indeedee ♀, Sneasler, Raichu, Charizard, Incineroar

Altkyle’s winning team leaned on layered tempo rather than a single linear mode. Dragonite with Dragoninite, Inner Focus, Tailwind, Dragon Pulse, Flamethrower, and Protect gave the team a speed-control centerpiece that could still attack immediately. Choice Scarf Annihilape added fast physical pressure with Shadow Claw, Close Combat, Ice Punch, and Rock Tomb, while Defiant made it a strong fit next to common Intimidate structures.

Raichu was another important piece. With Raichunite Y, Lightning Rod, Timid, Fake Out, Zap Cannon, Focus Blast, and Protect, it gave Altkyle both disruption and offensive coverage while helping control positioning. Gholdengo supplied a straightforward special win condition through Life Orb, Good as Gold, Make It Rain, Shadow Ball, Nasty Plot, and Protect. Hisuian Arcanine brought Focus Sash safety with Rock Head, Flare Blitz, Head Smash, Extreme Speed, and Protect, giving the team immediate damage plus priority. Rillaboom rounded everything out with Miracle Seed, Grassy Surge, Fake Out, Wood Hammer, Grassy Glide, and High Horsepower, adding terrain control, priority, and another Fake Out user.

Across the top teams, Rillaboom was one of the clearest repeat picks. Altkyle, HesterJack, ParaDeFofoca06, and goyardghazi all used Miracle Seed, Grassy Surge, Adamant Rillaboom with Fake Out and Grassy Glide somewhere in the moveset. Sneasler was also common, appearing on HesterJack, viejomoss, luisin, and YummzVGC, though with different items and abilities: Focus Sash with Poison Touch, Psychic Seed with Unburden, and Focus Sash with Poison Touch all appeared.

Raichu with Raichunite Y, Lightning Rod, and Timid showed up on Altkyle, luisin, and ParaDeFofoca06, always carrying Zap Cannon and Focus Blast. Incineroar remained a reliable support pick as well, appearing on HesterJack, luisin, ParaDeFofoca06, and YummzVGC, with Sitrus Berry and Intimidate on each of those teams. Focus Sash was spread across several roles in the top four, including Hisuian Arcanine, Sneasler, Excadrill, and Espathra.

Takeaway for ladder players: build with multiple forms of tempo control, because the top teams combined Fake Out, priority, speed control, and terrain rather than relying on only one mode.
