M_rada’s winning team was built around Gengar holding Gengarite, with Cursed Body, Modest, and a moveset of Perish Song, Shadow Ball, Sludge Bomb, and Protect. The rest of the six supported that plan with a heavy amount of board control: Snorlax brought Leftovers, Thick Fat, Yawn, Encore, Fissure, and Protect; Incineroar and Scrafty both supplied Intimidate and Fake Out; and Rillaboom added Grassy Surge, Fake Out, Grassy Glide, U-turn, and an Eject Button.
The composition had several ways to slow games down and force awkward endgames. Perish Song from Gengar and Yawn from Snorlax pressured opponents to switch or take unfavorable positions, while Parting Shot from Incineroar and U-turn from Rillaboom gave M_rada flexible pivoting. Double Intimidate from Incineroar and Scrafty also helped stabilize against physical attackers, and Dragonite’s Life Orb set with Dragon Claw, Low Kick, Extreme Speed, and Protect gave the team direct damage and priority when it needed to close games rather than continue cycling.
Across the top teams, Fake Out was one of the clearest trends. M_rada used it on Incineroar, Scrafty, and Rillaboom; Nolan_Mcallen had it on Sneasler and Rillaboom; chaaew0n had it on Incineroar; and several lower top-eight teams also used Incineroar or Rillaboom. Intimidate was similarly prominent, appearing on M_rada’s Incineroar and Scrafty, Godson’s Staraptor, and chaaew0n’s Incineroar.
Mega-style items and signature stones shaped much of the field. Gengarite won the event on M_rada’s Gengar and also appeared on Gary B’s Gengar. Charizardite Y showed up on Nolan_Mcallen’s Charizard, chaaew0n’s Charizard, vbex001’s Charizard, and CarlettoJack’s Charizard. Focus Sash was also common in key support or fast-pressure slots, including Scrafty, Whimsicott, Sneasler, Venusaur, Excadrill, and others in the top eight.
The major ladder takeaway: if you are building for Regulation Set M-C, prepare for pivot-heavy Fake Out teams that can combine Intimidate, Grassy Surge, and Perish Song or weather pressure.
