Alpensee Tour (Reg M-C) #78 results recap

Alpensee Tour (Reg M-C) #78 was an 82-player online event on Limitless for Pokemon Champions Regulation Set M-C, played on 2026-10-07. trevYah [US] finished first with an undefeated 11-0-0 record. The listed final round matches included trevyah over iskub, snorlaxpikachu1 over ninjacoox, and snorlaxpikachu1 over trimoxis12.

Place Player Record Team
1 trevYah [US] 11-0-0 Blastoise, Rillaboom, Indeedee ♀, Blaziken, Sneasler, Kingambit
2 RoemmsVGC 8-3-0 Raichu, Garchomp, Incineroar, Rillaboom, Basculegion, Volcarona
3 Snorlaxpikachu1 [BE] 7-3-0 Swalot, Audino, Incineroar, Volcarona, Slowbro, Raichu
4 Euan Legg [BE] 7-3-0 Swampert, Pelipper, Archaludon, Grimmsnarl, Charizard, Venusaur

trevYah’s winning team was built around several clear pressure modes rather than one linear game plan. Blastoise held Blastoisinite with Torrent and used Water Spout, Terrain Pulse, Shell Smash, and Protect, giving the team a major special attacking centerpiece with setup potential. Rillaboom added Grassy Surge, Fake Out, U-turn, Wood Hammer, and Grassy Glide, while Indeedee ♀ brought Psychic Surge, Follow Me, Trick Room, and Helping Hand. That combination gave trevYah terrain flexibility, redirection, Fake Out support, and a slower-speed option through Trick Room.

The rest of the team kept the pace high. Blaziken with Blazikenite, Speed Boost, Close Combat, Flare Blitz, Rock Slide, and Detect offered immediate physical pressure. Sneasler used Focus Sash, Unburden, Close Combat, Dire Claw, Fake Out, and Quick Guard, giving the team another support attacker that could contest priority and provide disruption. Kingambit rounded things out with Life Orb, Defiant, Kowtow Cleave, Sucker Punch, Iron Head, and Protect, adding a strong endgame option and a way to punish stat drops.

Across the top cut, Rillaboom was one of the clearest trends. It appeared on both first and second place, and also showed up at #6, #7, and #8. Incineroar was also common, appearing on #2, #3, #6, and #7, with Intimidate, Fake Out, and Parting Shot lines repeated across those teams. Raichu had a strong event as well, appearing on #2, #3, #6, and #8, including multiple Raichunite Y sets and several Lightning Rod builds.

Volcarona appeared on #2, #3, and #8, with Quiver Dance and Giga Drain present on all three listed sets. Basculegion also showed up three times in the top eight, including Choice Scarf on #2 and #8 and Life Orb on #5. Sneasler was used by the champion and also appeared on #5 and #7, most often combining Close Combat, Dire Claw, and Fake Out.

Item patterns were similarly concentrated. Sitrus Berry appeared on trevYah’s Rillaboom, RoemmsVGC’s Incineroar, Snorlaxpikachu1’s Volcarona, and Euan Legg’s Pelipper. Light Clay appeared on Snorlaxpikachu1’s Raichu and Euan Legg’s Grimmsnarl, while Focus Sash appeared on trevYah’s Sneasler and Euan Legg’s Venusaur.

Takeaway for ladder players: prioritize flexible support cores, because the best-performing teams here combined terrain, Fake Out, redirection, screens, or speed control with multiple attackers.
