King's Gambit #10 | Reg M-C recap and results

King's Gambit #10 | Reg M-C was played on 2026-10-03 on Limitless, with 31 players competing in Pokemon Champions Regulation Set M-C. Azelle [PH] finished undefeated at 8-0-0 and also won both listed final-round matches they played, defeating martinb and nanamixd. The other listed final-round result was nanamixd over wisdomlordraphael.

Place Player Record Team
1 Azelle [PH] 8-0-0 Eternal Flower Floette, Sneasler, Gholdengo, Rillaboom, Incineroar, Dragonite
2 MartinB [CH] 6-2-0 Gengar, Incineroar, Rillaboom, Politoed, Kommo-o, Vivillon
3 giac28 [IT] 5-2-0 Raichu, Gholdengo, Rillaboom, Garchomp, Volcarona, Incineroar
4 nanamixd [IT] 5-2-0 Kingambit, Salamence, Sneasler, Raichu, Rillaboom, Hisuian Arcanine

Azelle's winning team is built around a clear mix of pressure, setup, and positional tools. Eternal Flower Floette with Floettite, Flower Veil, Calm Mind, Draining Kiss, Dazzling Gleam, and Protect gives the team a Fairy-type centerpiece that can either apply spread damage or attempt to build staying power through Calm Mind and recovery. Around it, Sneasler holds White Herb with Unburden and runs Dire Claw, Close Combat, Rock Slide, and Protect, giving Azelle a fast physical attacker that can punish openings immediately.

Gholdengo is another major win condition, using Life Orb, Good as Gold, Make It Rain, Shadow Ball, Nasty Plot, and Protect. That set gives the team a strong special attacking route next to Floette, while Rillaboom and Incineroar provide the familiar support shell: Fake Out, Grassy Glide, Wood Hammer, High Horsepower from Miracle Seed Rillaboom, and Fake Out, Flare Blitz, Parting Shot, Throat Chop from Sitrus Berry Incineroar. Dragonite rounds out the six with Dragoninite, Inner Focus, Dragon Pulse, Heat Wave, Tailwind, and Protect, adding speed control without relying on a purely defensive slot.

Across the top teams, Rillaboom was the most visible common piece, appearing on all of the top five teams listed. Miracle Seed Rillaboom was used by Azelle, giac28, nanamixd, and Salvatore Castelli, while MartinB opted for Occa Berry. Incineroar was also heavily represented, appearing on Azelle, MartinB, giac28, Salvatore Castelli, nhannq2509, and imAlbe, with Fake Out and Parting Shot showing up repeatedly.

Gholdengo was another key trend near the top. Azelle, giac28, Salvatore Castelli, and nhannq2509 all used Life Orb Gholdengo with Good as Gold, Make It Rain, Shadow Ball, Nasty Plot, and Protect in some order. Raichu with Raichunite Y, Lightning Rod, Zap Cannon, Focus Blast, Fake Out, and Protect also appeared on both giac28 and nanamixd, while Sneasler made top-four appearances on both Azelle and nanamixd with Unburden-based sets.

The top cut also showed multiple approaches to speed control and board management. Azelle used Tailwind Dragonite, nanamixd used Tailwind Salamence, giac28 used Tailwind Volcarona, and MartinB brought a Perish Song core with Gengar and Politoed alongside Vivillon support.

Takeaway for ladder players: Rillaboom plus Incineroar remains a reliable backbone, but the best teams here paired it with proactive win conditions rather than passive support alone.
